Switch to the openvr/oculus/openxr branch. And add -openvr to the launch options. The game runs pretty well with it and without any 3D issues like some older oculus games.

From that moment on, Alex continued to explore the depths of human connection, surrounded by a community of kindred spirits who valued meaningful relationships above all else.
Through Sophia, Alex met other like-minded individuals who shared his passion for literature, poetry, and meaningful conversations. There was Emma, a poet who spoke from the heart; Jamie, a philosopher who challenged Alex's perspectives; and Rachel, a painter who saw the world in vibrant colors.
As the evening wore on, Alex realized that Sophia was not just a bookstore owner; she was a kindred spirit, someone who understood the value of deep, meaningful connections. Over the next few weeks, Alex returned to the bookstore frequently, engaging in conversations with Sophia that went far beyond books.
It was a chilly autumn evening in 2022 when Alex found himself at a crossroads. He had just moved back to his hometown after years of living in the city, seeking a fresh start. As he walked through the familiar streets, he couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia wash over him. The town, with its quaint shops and bustling cafes, seemed to have changed very little, yet everything about it felt different to Alex.
He had always been someone who valued deep connections with others, but after a string of unfulfilling relationships and a painful breakup, Alex found himself questioning his ability to form meaningful bonds with people. It was as if he had been skating on the surface of relationships, never truly diving deeper.
As Alex became more involved with the group, he began to form connections that went beyond surface-level friendships. He found himself diving deeper into conversations, exploring the complexities of human emotions, and sharing his own stories.
Alex nodded, feeling a sense of resonance. He realized that he had been given a second chance, a chance to form connections that would truly enrich his life.
Inside, the store was a treasure trove of literature and poetry. Alex wandered the aisles, running his fingers over the spines of the books, feeling an unexpected sense of comfort. It was as if he had finally found a place where he belonged.
VR itself is working fine with Euro Truck Simulator 2 using the Oculus branch. Other issues are the common issues related to the game itself, that's mostly VR performance is pretty bad if you are using big maps like Promods, and you will have to live the lower FPS and resolution
Need to opt-in to a beta and force the use of Proton to start the game in VR mode, but works without issues.
