Cotinga

The represent one of the most visually spectacular and biologically diverse families of birds in the Neotropics. Comprising over 60 species in about 20 genera, the family Cotingidae includes such iconic birds as the Andean Cock-of-the-rock, the Screaming Piha, and the Umbrella Bird. Found primarily in the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, these birds are renowned for their vivid plumage, bizarre courtship displays, and specialized fruit-based diets.
