The film focuses on (played by Romain Duris ), who sinks into a deep, paralyzing depression after his girlfriend Anna (Joana Preiss) leaves him. Unable to move forward, he returns to live in his father's cramped apartment, where he refuses to get out of bed. His younger, more carefree brother Jonathan (played by Louis Garrel ) spends his days wandering the city and engaging in fleeting encounters, eventually trying to pull Paul out of his "torpor".
