As Giorgio navigated the pastel-hued Art Deco District in a rented convertible he couldn't quite figure out how to put in reverse, he crossed paths with Stella, an Italian expat running a struggling gelato shop on Ocean Drive. While Giorgio tried to maintain his dignity, he found himself roped into a scheme to save Stella’s shop from a ruthless real estate developer, all while wearing a tropical shirt three sizes too small.

By the time the sun rose over the Atlantic, the suitcase was returned, the gelato shop was safe, and Giorgio had traded his rigid schedule for a pair of flip-flops. It wasn't the Christmas he planned, but in the spirit of 2005 Miami, it was exactly the loud, colorful, and absurd holiday he needed.
