The story follows (Bruce Willis), a down-on-his-luck private investigator based in Venice Beach, California. His world is turned upside down when his beloved dog, Buddy , is stolen by a local gang. To get Buddy back, Steve is forced to do the bidding of the gang's leader, Spyder (Jason Momoa). This leads Steve through a series of absurd and dangerous tasks involving stolen cash, cocaine, and a chase by various vengeful characters.
