"That That," the lead single from Psy's ninth studio album Psy 9th , was released on April 29, 2022, as a monumental collaboration between two generations of K-pop global icons: Psy and Suga of BTS.

The track was a joint effort, with Suga not only producing but also co-writing the lyrics alongside Psy.

Suga initially reached out to Psy with an instrumental track he believed was perfect for the veteran artist. Suga originally intended to only produce the song, but Psy gradually convinced him to feature on the track, then appear in the music video, and finally learn the intense choreography—a process Suga jokingly compared to being "tricked" into a full-fledged idol role.
