TESCAN was founded in by five former Tesla development and service employees who refused to let their expertise vanish. The Name: A portmanteau of TES la and SCAN ning.

They started by manufacturing programmable controllers and digitizers for older analog microscopes rather than building entire systems.

Over 30 years, Tesla produced more than 3,000 microscopes for export to 20 countries.

Before it was TESCAN, the expertise was forged in the state enterprise in Brno, Czechoslovakia.

Founder Jaroslav Klíma was driven by a desire to travel and work on a global stage, a privilege denied to his family during the communist regime. 📈 Global Expansion and Innovation
