Frontiersman Natty Bumppo, better known as Deerslayer (Lex Barker), and his Mohican blood-brother Chingachgook (Carlos Rivas) find themselves caught in a deadly conflict when they come to the aid of a group of settlers. They seek refuge in an unusual "floating fort" on Lake Otsego, owned by the embittered Tom Hutter (Jay C. Flippen), who hides a dark secret regarding his past with the Huron tribe. Cast Highlights:
